season 1 ends successfully

The Skating Sirens first season ends successfully. Out of 12 home and away bouts, the Sirens won 6. Our next official season starts September 11th against the Sioux City Roller Dames. We will be very busy during the next few months with a few away bouts, fundraisers, community involvement with Children's Miracle Network and Clearwater Farms and much much more. Keep following us through our website and Facebook us for more information about all our upcoming events.

La Crosse skating sirens

The La Crosse Skating Sirens is a women's flat track roller derby league aspiring to WFTDA standards, national ranking and awe-inspiring bouts. The league aims to provide opportunities for women to participate in a sport that is all their own – encouraging the development of leadership and teamwork skills and creating a space for camaraderie and healthy competition. Our goal is to develop exceptional athletic ability and sportswomanship, to promote goodwill amongst our skaters and in our community, and to represent La Crosse athletically on a national level.

The La Crosse Skating Sirens will entertain our fans while providing exposure and positive attention for sponsors. We are hard working athletes dedicated to presenting an alternative sports experience that is both cutting-edge and socially responsible. We promote physical and mental strength and the energy, intensity and independent spirit of women.  We work hard, sweat plenty, and play the game better than the competition.

now recruiting

We are currently recruiting women of all skill levels and abilities over the age of 18. Even if you have never skated, have not been on skates in years or just want a fun excuse to get on your skates more often. We would love to have you be part of our growing team. We have an excellent
training team that will work with you on becoming a better skater and a great derby girl!

We have only two requirements in becoming a Skating Siren. The first being that you have the passion and the second is to be committed to our derby family. This team promotes cooperation, encouragement and leadership. The Sirens value roller derby as an athletic sport and pursue the competitive nature of the sport with dedication and drive.

GUYS — We also need you! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available from being a
referee, score keepers, selling merchandise and manning the penalty box. These are just a few of our many opportunites.
